Lady Gaga's Born This Way banned in Lebanon


Lady Gaga's new album Born This Way has been banned in Lebanon for being "offensive to Christianity."
A shipment of the 'Edge Of Glory' singer's long-awaited record, which this week became the fastest-selling album of 2011 worldwide, has reportedly been impounded by the country's General Security department on grounds of taste. 
The 25-year-old previously saw Born This Way's second single 'Judas' pulled from radio stations in Lebanon over its controversial use of religious figures. 
The song and its accompanying video, which sees Gaga's Mary Magdalene torn between her love for Jesus and Judas, was also slammed by religious groups around the world, despite her insistence that it was intended as a "cultural statement". 
Gaga's comeback single 'Born This Way' was was censored by stations in Malaysia for its "offensive" pro-gay message.
